About

I'm Michelle, a German French clothing designer and seamstress in the Keene area since July 2022. 

I speak 6 languages and have a Masters in Linguistics where I specialized in bilingual language acquisition. 

However, for over a decade making clothes is my passion - a passion I discovered during a time of severe sickness while pursuing my academic career. Sewing grounded me in the present and helped me through this difficult time. 

I love every aspect of creating comfortable high quality handmade clothing and it makes me truly happy. 

There is also a lot of joy to be found in any hem or repair project for my local customers. Turning a broken or not fitting garment into something a customer can use again is so satisfying and makes me feel good about our earth!

A little personal side story is that my whole life I struggle to be friends with jeans - because for myself and now as well for Eller Handmade I always prioritize comfort over anything else. 

When my daughter was born she disliked any clothes with interior tags, tight and uncomfortable patterns. 

Soft and non-irritating fabrics as well as patterns that let her move freely were the key to 'no-drama-dressing' and an overall happier child! These are all values that are reflected in any Eller Handmade garment. 

I am so happy to have customers that value comfortable and high quality clothing and the services of Eller Handmade. Each day I continue to work hard on building my small woman owned business.
